About Products for Drinking Water
The EUSR Products for Drinking Water scheme supports compliance by providing awareness of the relevant Water Regulations which require that all chemicals, materials and components in contact with drinking water need to be approved and tested to confirm they do not compromise water quality.
This scheme is appropriate for operatives, supervisors and management and is aimed at water industry personnel involved in activities associated with drinking water. This includes employees in operations, developer services, capital and procurement, supply chain contractors and consultants.
Once you have successfully completed your Products for Drinking Water training and assessment, you will understand the vital part you play in complying with these Regulations and protecting public health.
Delivery
Training and assessments are delivered face to face, for a duration of approximately four hours, by EUSR Approved Trainers. All Trainers delivering Products for Drinking Water must be approved by us and have appropriate and recent water industry experience and competence – as well as training or assessment qualifications and experience. Our ongoing quality assurance, through monitoring and audits, ensures high quality training.
Assessment
The assessment is a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 questions set by EUSR and marked by the EUSR Approved Trainer.
Registration
Registration on EUSR is valid for three years following the successful completion of the training and assessment.
Renewal
To renew this EUSR registration, individuals need to repeat the training with an EUSR Approved Trainer.
